Series: Early Friends

Early Friends is a series of discussions in which we share our spiritual lives while reflecting on short passages written by 17th Century Friends. The sessions are led by Carolyn McCoy and Helene Pollock, using a curriculum that Helene is writing.

Schedule of Sessions

Christmas Dinner is held annually in December, with Meeting members and attenders contributing potluck dishes.

Meeting Picnic takes place on a Sunday in the spring at the grounds of the Friends Southwestern Burial Ground in Upper Darby. An outdoor Meeting for Worship is followed by a potluck picnic.

Meeting Weekend is a time for Meeting members to gather for a variety of activities, including worship, workshops, crafts, children's activities, and socializing.

Men's Group meets every Wednesday at 7:15.

New Years Eve Meeting for Worship is held most years early in the evening on New Years Eve.

The Newsletter of the Central Philadelphia Monthly Meeting is published monthly except in July and August. It is distributed by mail, or may be picked up from the pamphlet rack outside the Meeting room, and you may request mailed copies at the Welcome table. Deadline for articles for the Newsletter is the 15th of every month.

Study Groups for Bible study and other topics meet periodically and are listed in the Weekly Bulletin. Evening classes are also offered periodically.

Weddings, Memorial Meetings for Worship, clearness committees, and welcoming committees for new members are other special events that may occur.

Weekly Bulletins are distributed each week after Meeting for Worship with announcements of Meeting events and members' activities. Announcements for the Bulletin must be received in the meeting office by Thursday morning.

Worship Group for People of Color meets the third Sunday of every month at 9:00 A.M.
